Advantages: Lots of room, comfortable, big boot, economical.

Disadvantages: High insurance.

We have this car, which we bought in October, its 3 years old and a good little runner. The fuel economy is good, to fill the tank at todays petrol prices in our area (82.9ppl) it costs us around £25-£30 and the mpg is around 65. The top speed is 102mph which is good for a 5 door family car!!
The only problem I have with the car is the insurance. For some very strange reason, I cannot think why, the ford fiesta is a very high insured car. Now, my husband is the driver who is 21 and had an accident last year, both of which bring the premium up. But, we're paying £171 a month for the insurance on this car, and thats the lowest we can pay after many phone calls to direct line to try to get this premium down theres nothing they can do. Apparently, many people want to steal fiestas...!!! :-S
But other than that, the fiesta is a lovely little car, its got lots of room in the back, and you can comfortably fit 2 adults and a child in the back. Which is great. The boot space is fabulous, and you can pull down the back seats if you need more room, but to be honest, the boot really is very big.
Its economical, its pretty, its spacious. If your tall, theres plenty of head room, my dad is 6ft and he has a good few inches above his head when in the driving seat.
If you get the basic, theres obviously not as much as when you pay the extra, so talking about the features is pointless as it depends on how much your wantng to pay. Ours is the basic, we only use it for commuting and short leisure trips so we don't needd anything much. But for that we have electric windows in the front, digital petrol miles display, CD player. Not much no, but for £6000 its not too bad.
You really do need to shop around and look at the insurance premium before buying, but this is a great little car, and wonderful for a first car!!

Summary: A great little car!!

We can't move yet until May without paying the rest of the premium off!!! We looked at swift cover who said they could give us a premium of about £100 saving! Probably the insurance company we're with rather than the car which makes our premium high!!!

Re insurance - have you tried someone other than Direct Line. We've moved and have saved ourselves hundreds in one year.
