Advantages: Spacious, easy to drive
Disadvantages: Uncomfy, de mist wires in the windscreen
I learned to drive in on of these a month or so ago and spent many an hour driving around in town in it. As a learner car it was good. It was not hard to drive by any means and difficult to stall.
I haven't had enough driving experience yet to really judge it but there were a few things that came to mind.
The first of these is the windscreen. In the same way that the rear wind screen in most cars have wire running through them to help them de mist, the front had them too. They weren't so obvious but there were more of them vertically placed in maybe 5 mm spacings across the entire width of the glass. The wires were thin but still irritating.
The second was the seat. It was comfy when you first sat in it but after about half an hour my legs went numb. I am 6 foot 3 so I don't know if that had anything to do with it but it was almost unbearable after not long.
The gearbox also left something to be desired. Again, I've not driven a huge amount but the gear stick seemed very unconnected from the gears. This may have been some fly by wire type technology but it didn't seem to have any benefit over the older type gear boxes that have been in the other cars I've driven.
Maybe I would have liked it more if I hadn't been learning or if I had spent more time on main roads but I wasn't overly impressed. It wasn't a bad car by any means but it certainly didn't impress.
Summary: A car with no outstanding features but it does work.
