Advantages: Comfortable, reliable, cheap, stands the test of time

Disadvantages: ugly and comes with a tape deck

I was very impresed with this model. I inherited the C registration fiesta back in 2001 after passing my driving test, previously the car had been my aunties car and after that it had been my parents run around vehicle so bear in mind by the time it came to my turn it had done a substantial amount of mileage and indeed a number of years on the road.

While it was very ruckety by this point it always got me from a to b, costs were low, running on the good old 4 star petrol, now lpg which where you can get it costs around 50p a litre, so if you were to make a purchase of one of these fabulous vehicles these days youd be looking at low running costs, low insurance and a reliable vehicle.

I should stress that in late 2005 i was given one of these vehicles at a cost of £50 and while the radio didnt work and while it was manufactured in the late 80s being an f registration, it did me a good six months and eventually was retired by an arson attack, not techncial error.

I would swear by this vehicle, it may not be the best looking vehicle out there, and you may not find one anywhere apart from scrap yards these days, but i would almost guarantee successful and cheap motoring with this model, its comfortable, it may struggle but will get you up to the required speeds on the motorway and how could you resist the chance of driving a retro vehicle like this that has stood the test of time and was in fact the first car of actor philip glenister.

Go buy one

Summary: A reliable vehicle and cheap to boot
