Advantages: Well designed, Solid
Disadvantages: all minor
Its a wierd feeling to get back behind the wheel after three years. But, this car is the one to do it in!
The circumstances of my driving one of these are that my instructor has one - i'm in the process of breaking all my bad habits to retake my test. So, not much choice in the car, to be fair, and i'm not a big fan of fords to begin with.
My mind has been changed. This car, despite its small size and unusual looks has one hell of a lot of poke - it'l happily take my heavy feet and smile while it's doing it.
Comfortwise its pretty good - the seats are firm enough to be comfortable without being hard enough to make your arse ache.
Featureswise, its also well equipped. The aircon is pokey enough to cool the car quickly with little noticable loss of power and response from the engine, the screenclear (both front and rear) is also very fast acting. The sound system is, quite frankly, one of the best sound quality i've heard from a standard system in a while, with CD and Radio.
The layout, from the drivers point of view, is equally well thought out - everything is within easy reach - the only criticism is that the front/rear demisters could be more clearly labelled as its hard to tell the difference at a glance.
Overall, i've been very impressed with this little car, and if, when i've gotten the hideous pink licence back, i can afford one, it'll definately go top of the shopping list.
Summary: Why oh why can't I afford one???
