Anyone that reads my reviews knows that as much of a pain my little 2003 corsa was, i was reluctant to sell it. My little corsa plus a small payment then became my deposit, and the deal i received from ford was astonishing. One of my main concerns was of course the price, however i found that (for Someone who is 20 with 2 years no claims) my insurance was reduced from £1200 on what i used to pay to a very acceptable £800 (and that was with ford insure!). To say I was happy was an understatement. I then found the added bonus that the tax on the car was free, and that the monthly payments save me so much money that I have more places to travel. I found the petrol was brilliant. I put £25 on a near empty tank and my dash told me I had 210 miles, which was disappointing at first. But after a few hours I released the car did much more than this, and if you follow the gear changes you will usually get about 18 miles out of the car with the dash letting me know that only 10 had been used . Before even looking at anything else I was overjoyed at this godsend that seemed to be saving me my pennies.
The drive is also superb. The gear changes are easy and quick, including when reversing. The clutch is not too high and the breaks not at all too sharp, the engine is quiet and is a small humming noise, and best of all the window wipers don't sound like nails down a chalkboard. I found that i had maximum control over the car, which i was worried about as it feels very big and spacious inside considering it is a small hatchback. The boot space is more than ideal if you have a family. The steering is very easy, i was slightly heavy handed at first as the corsa was so much heavier to handle, but the fiesta was like moving a feather and seems to all of the work itself.
My favorite part about the car is the design. I had mine in white with chrome plating, and it looks awesome. There are many nifty gadgets inside, including the audio. The sound is great and the base isn't at all distorted. The car comes with an ipod and aux lead input build in, but you can just connect your phone using Bluetooth. This is the best feature in my opinion. You just turn your phone on and the car will play your music. Changing your tracks is hands free as you can use the controls on your steering wheel or just talk to the dashboard with an audio device that listens through a speaker in the ceiling. I was so fascinated i think I asked for every option my dash could offer. The Bluetooth linking to your phone is also great as incoming calls come through your dash, meaning you can talk to anyone and its safe and legal.
Another attractive feature is the lights in the dash. They come on automatically and the red and blue look brilliant against the black backdrop interior which is fashionable in it's own right. The dash also adjusts your light inside the car depending what category of lights you have on such as your full beam or fog, a really clever feature. Of course all safety features are included inside and the car will always remind you if you leave a light on, aren't wearing your seat belt or if any of your doors or boot are open. The inside also offers 3 different types of interior lighting which is another kind of pointless but interesting touch.
All in all i saved money and this car is blowing me away. The best buy of my life.
Summary: A brilliant car than I can't see myself changing for a long time.
