Advantages: Everything, great car

Disadvantages: Desireable to theives

Haven driven an SXi Corsa for a year i decided I wanted a change and the car I chose was a new 07 plate Fiesta Zetec S (CDTi).

I fell in love with the car from the moment I saw it, whilst the new style Fiesta's look easier on the eye, my older style Zetec S was simply stunning, with 17inch alloys and tinted rear windows it looked the bees knees.

Underneath the great looks was a fantastic car, despite the car being a diesel, it was extreamly quick off the mark and you'd be hitting 70mph before you even realised, it is hard to stay within the speed limits when you have quite a powerful engine underneath you.

Car is also built very well, I had a slight knock in mine when someone ran into the side of me and whilst it left its mark, it didn't do too much damage. The tyres didn't need changing until around 20,000 miles (about 18 months) and I never found a single fault. My Corsa had to go in the garage a couple of times (bought from new) and had a real problem with oil consumption, however, I never had to top the oil up in my Fiesta once in nearly 2 years.

For a small sporty car, it is also quite roomy, I regulary had 3 people sitting comfortably in the back and the boot was big enough to fit plenty of shopping in and my sister used to regulary use it to take her kids out and could fit 2 buggies in the boot.

The biggest plus of all though is the fuel consumption, driving on motorways I used to get over 50mpg and then no less than 40mpg if I was using it for short journeys in the city centre, a full tank of diesel could sometimes take me well in excess of 400 miles which meant that it was very cheap to run. Also, as it has low emissions, it is only £35 a year for road tax, which I am sure you can agree is a big benefit as it leads to substantial cost savings.

Unfortunately, my car was that nice that someone decided to steal :-( Absolutely gutting because I had got very attached to it and would have liked to keep it for as long as possible.

Summary: Best car I have driven

Forgot to say, mine had been stolen (and then recovered) in the past too, although before we got it.
