Advantages: Lots of features to mention, my best speed and music

Disadvantages: none at all in my opinion, I totally loved this car

I throughly enjoyed driving my ford focus 1.6 auto 3dr in gun grey with 9,000 miles on the clock. I owned the car for 9 months and started everytime no problems whatsoever.

I felt different to be driving a car that was not black or silver like the norm for some.

I feel that the cars output was fantastic, my friend introduced me to automatics but thought that she was lazy, my attitude has totally changed and would buy another.

I still agree think that driving a manual is faster as you can manipulate the car and make it go faster without damaging the engine.

I am a girl racer at heart and can't resist healthy competition with other drivers. The petrol consumption was very good depending on where you travel to.

I enjoyed every minute, the best is driving long distance and being in traffic as you dont have to fiddle with the gears. The boot space is great, folding seats, remote contral locking, bright headlight beam, wide door opening, deep bass sound system, cd player and many other features. I would not hesitate to get another one in a flash.

safety played a great part in driving the focus as you feel safe going at speed and sharp braking enforces the seatbeats. Driving comfort is good too with supportive seats. The body work is stylish and unique that other competitors are copying but in a more rounded way.

A competitor for the focus is the vw golf in my opinion, i have driven and owned one.

I had an accident in one last year, my son was with me sitting in the front. some stupid boy racer decided to pull an emergency brake in front of me, i ended up smashing into the back of his stinking peugeot 206. Anyway car fixed by good insurance number.

I don't think i have missed anything but please beep me if i have and i shall add it.

extra info

Hey Nar, thanks for the extra info, i have not sat in or driven the five door, I only experienced my 3dr!

Are you comparing the new shape focus to the new shape fiesta, because i would agree. But if you are comparing the old shape focus to the old shape fiesta, the focus will win hands down or style, comfort, dash board, interior and exterior design, quiet engine noise, space within the car for passengers.

In regards to petrol I would top up my tank with £40 per week and use the car alot about 100 miles a week, going shopping, visiting friends and what not. i thought that was reasonable.

five star car all round.

I feel that fords have had a tacky reputation but people can see that they are trying to shape a better vehicle and they ar edoing very well, i must admit that i was also feeling a little apprehensive about buying a ford, when i exchanged my citroen c3 for the ford focus i felt like it was the best decision i could have made. The ford focus shape has been a winner for 8 years and they changed it last year i think it was, because they gave us a hire car which we took to alton towers, great drive i must say.

Summary: Well rounded car with great features.

Welcome to Dooyoo. A good start here. In the reecnt issue of Auto Express this week the Focus gets tested against its 1.6 diesel version and the diesel version wins because it is more economical. Id have thought that an Automatic transmission means the car takes more fuel, so you could be a bit more specific in adding how much you paid out per week to fill the tank etc.

Other info could also be developed such as the actual comfort of the seats, dashboard design, visibility etc. The more in depth info you add, the more chance future buyers get a clearer idea.

Sadly due to its shape I prefer the Fiesta but I have considered the Focus 4 door as its generally easier and safer to see out of. If you update your review please message me.
