Advantages: It's simply brilliant!
Disadvantages: Boot space, as if i cared.
Being a bit of a car nut I insisted on finding out why every magazine I read raved about the Ford Focus. Well I soon found out! The moment I sat in the car I was very comfortable. EVERYTHING was within easy reach and felt solid to the touch. When I moved off, all the controls were light YET were more communicative than an international telephone exchange! The engine whispered nicely, behaving itself in public. It was the 1.6 Zetec version, a great motor indeed. The gearshift slotted home precisely every time I touched it, while the driveline picked up smoothly. There was plenty of room in the cabin, though possibly at the expense of boot space. Amazingly, all that was bettered by the suspension which dished up such a composed ride while delivering an almost level cornering stance throuhg every corner. I was extremely impressed by that car!

- 11/07/01 Not going to convince me to by one, try looking at what is broken down on the side of a motorway next time you're on one. Bet it will be a Ford..... Toyota JD Power survey top 3 cars.... |

- 06/12/00 If you think the 1.6 is a good car try having a go in a 1.8 the extra power may not seem much but when u realise that you are doing 85 in 3rd gear coupled with the fantastic suspension you really appreciate the car. Glad you like it! |
