A good first car (Ford Ka 3-dr)
Member Name: upsy
Advantages: Cheap to buy, fuel efficient, easy to park and good to learn to drive in, electric windows Disadvantages: In my opinion they look silly, they're too small, not fast enough and they need 5 seats I've never been a fan of Ford Ka's and to be honest I think they are very weird looking cars and too small. However, my parents persuaded me that it would be a good first car and to a degree I would say they have been right. It is a very small car but this was ideal for learning to drive in, as it is fairly easy to park and much better than trying to learn how to park in a big car. The boot size isn't too bad and fits enough in. The leg room in the back was also better than I was expecting, however, the fact that it only has 4 seats can be irritating and one extra seat would make a huge difference. The fact it's only a 3 door car is also irritating, as it means it's not all that easy for people to get in the back. However, it is very fuel efficient and isn't too expensive insurance-wise which is helpful as I am a student, yet it is very slow and takes ages to accelerate when going up a hill. It also has a CD player which is good, the sound is pretty good, and it has electric windows in the front, but silly small windows in the back which aren't very good. Overall, it's a decent first car, mainly because it's cheap, but I still think they look weird and are too small. Summary: Good for a first car but they have a lot of bad points
