Advantages: easy to park, small and nippy

Disadvantages: uncomfortable, tinny, cramped

I have been driving a new 2002 3 door model Ford Ka around for the past week (courtesy car due to my Focus having work done to it).

It is like being sat in a tin can. Although I must admit it is very nippy and quick off the mark I am not impressed with it at all.

I can't even say its really good on petrol - it doesn't do much more to the gallon than my Ford Focus.

The driving seat is really uncomfortable and there is hardly any room in the back. I suppose for a single woman/man it would be okay for driving to and from work but I would not like to have to drive it on a long journey.

It is very easy to park, having power steering and being so small but I would never buy one of my own, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I'd much rather go for the Ford Fiesta if I wanted a small car.

As a courtesy car, this was probably the basic model, and more basic by far than any of the Focus range. I had one for 3 weeks when my Focus was in dock (must write an op about that!), and agree that it was tinny. However, I was impressed by its nippiness, and it accommodated my 6' frame with ease. It depends on what you are looking for in a car, and you and I both had our reasons for buying Focuses.

Ditto. How cheap feeling are these Ka's!?! Not a nice drive, but I may brave a Focus now seen as you seem to have the same opinion as me! ;o)

After a series of powerful cars I now have a Ka2. Wouldn't swop it for the world. I am 6' yet have bags of room although I wouldn't put a passenger in the back easily. The petrol consumption is so low that I forget it. I can't wait to get a Ka3. Each to their own I suppose.
