Advantages: Cheap to run, cheap insurance, easy to drive. Efficient.

Disadvantages: Noisy, slightly slow, not that comfortable, especially for back seat passengers.

The ford Ka is the perfect car for people who simply need it to make short journeys every now and then, for example in and around town. It does not use a great deal of petrol, and filling it up is relatively cheap. The insurance is very cheap compared to other cars, so it is great for a first car or a learner. The overall drive of the car is very easy, i personally find it a doddle to drive, and some refer to it as being as easy to drive as a go kart! tHE 1.3 is obviously not very fast, and it often feels as though you are travelling nowhere when you put your foot down, but this is not a problem as it is not designed for long, fast journeys. The pedals are all slightly too close together, but you soon adapt to this. The brake pad is also quite soft. Apart from that, the pedals are light and easy to use, and the grea stick is also very simple and easy. The style of the car is very feminine as it is quite curvy. The colour coded cars (the Ka's with matching colour on body work and wheel arches) look most attractive, unfortunately the Ka's with the grey plastic wheel arches look less attractive. Another let down for the car is that, especially at any speed over 40, the car can be quite noisy. Nevertheless, this can be easily avoided by a loud stereo! The only let down on the interior of the car is the tiny and oddly designed glove box. It is literally a box, with a lid. However, you do not purchase a cra for its glove box. I would highly recommend this car for learners, or for a first car, and i think it is more suited o females rather than males. The ka is a good, realiable and efficient car.
