Walking past the Ford forecourt with my friend I stop to show her a little black car beaming with personality. Little did I know the conversation I was about to have would cost me £8,000 of my hard earned cash! I showed my friend around, we sat in the front, and we sat in the back to see how it felt for size. Surprisingly, there is enough leg room in the back to feel comfortable yet the car itself is extremely compact. We get out and look in the boot, plenty of room for some shopping and usual first time car stuff but I doubt big enough for a pushchair!

I chose the Ka sport SE. A 1.6 engine, leather interior and air conditioning. CD player and leather steering wheel to add to the features. I adore my little car! I drive a bit like a rally driver round the corners and bends of country lanes and this car sticks to the road like glue! The handling is superb! As it's a 1.6 (0.3 litres bigger than a standard ka), it has some get up and go in it. It definitely lives up to the 'Sport' name tag. Since I've had the car I've only had to replace 2 tyres, back windscreen wiper and the alternator. I've had my ka for about 5 years now. I learnt to drive in it and recommend this little car for all learner drivers. It's very easy to drive and as I've said previously the handling is fab!

I seem to pay a high amount of road tax for my 1.6 baby. Almost as much infact as a 5 door family car so beware of this when picking yours out. It also drinks a lot of petrol if you are constantly driving over 4,000 revs. So I recommend not going past 65-70mph (even thou ive previously had over 100mph out of this car on a test track!) so if your looking for a cheap runaround for the city, maybe the standard ka is for you. For something a bit more 'special' invest in a sport ka!

Summary: if looking for a ka that is a bit more special, the spork ka is for you!
