Ok, my view of the ford KA
I own a 2003 Ford Ka 1.3i [70] Collection with aircon.
Worst small car I have ever owned.
Dont be fooled by the promise of a 'cheap run-a-round' my 2.8TDCI GHIA Focus Sport is cheaper to run, I'm honestly not joking, the fuel economy is appalling. I get less than 300 miles to a full (and I mean almost overflowing) tank of petrol. (Costing around £49 to fill up, March, 2010 prices!) where my Focus costs an extra £20 to fill up, but i get 680 miles to a tank. (Both cars used for city and rural driving equally).
Ride quality is poor, dont trust breaks, tyres wear fast and it costs £128 per year to tax! A Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCI Zetec costs £35 a year to tax!
My advice, dont waste your money, buy a Corsa or a Fiesta you'll, thank me!
To reiterate what another poster said, the service you receive from Ford is worse than I receive from Mercedes-Benz!!! anyone who knows about cars will know how bad their service is.
In addition, RUST, I have not seen as much rust on a car, since I was a small child and my dad owned an A-reg Vauxhall Cavalier!
Also, the engine is very noisy, the Duratech Engine uses a chain cam belt, which is more reliable, but noisy! and the poor insulation in the car really makes this known.
In Conclusion
I dont see the point of buying this car, its not cheap to run, and its not cheap to maintain. If you want a small car for going into town, then a SMART car would be a better option, they're made of plastic, so NO RUST!!!
Good luck
