I had an old shape Ford KA 'T' registration for a number of years and it was a super little car, a little basic on the inside and could make a bit of a rattle but it served me perfectly for zooming back and forth up the A3 in to London for university. The only reason I sold it was to upgrade to the new shape and buy my first new car. The new shape KA is much sleeker and actually 'feels' more like a fiesta to drive, it is a lot more solid and has more features than its previous model. The plus of the new model is that the road tax is only £30 per year and it is a fairly low insurance group. Since buying mine the range has changed slightly, mine was top of the range z-tech which has many features: ABS, all round electric windows, courtesy light, Air con, front and rear heated windows etc. The price was fairly justified for the features etc in comparison to other small cars, however the market is becoming increasingly competitive and there is more variety out there. All round I think the Ford KA is a good car, which holds its price and parts are cheap. A good first car and ideal small car which is still comfortable enough for long journeys.
