Recently had a Ford Ka as a courtesy car while my under-rated, very reliable and nippy 1.6 Megane hatch was in being repaired (some bozo bashed it in a car park). The Ka was the basic one with black bumpers. It was a hoot, once wound up it was very pokey. It handled brilliantly. As I've said elsewhere though-how come Ford get away ... Read the complete review

Various opinions abound concerning the Ford Ka, usually the economy associated with owning such a small motor. My previous car was a Ford Ka 2, which I traded in for a Ford Ka 3 (2000 W plate) and whilst I agree that the economy aspect makes it refreshing to drive, there are several mechanical problems which I have encountered on both of my Ka ... this car is a fantastic purchase if you are looking for an econamical and, at the same time, stylish motor. It comes in a variety of colours and formats. For example, there is the smaller version which runs on a cheap 1.0 litre engine, or there is the luxury version for thos people who have a bit more money to spend- this version comes with full ... I love the Ka. I have just bought a brand new shiny black one, a Ka Collection (middle of the range) which includes Air conditioning, a CD player, electric windows, central locking etc etc. All this in a tiny little car which cost me new... wait for it... £6,450. What a bargain! Part of the reason is that I have a discount (courtesy of my ... Read the complete review

The Ford KA / P/ REG 55000 Miles 1.3 fuel injection Good points A nice little town car with good acceleration, easy to service fairly cheep parts. Its a simple design apparently created collage students who wanted to reduce town congestions. I wouldnt say it was a small family car, but a shopping car or lets nip and ... Read the complete review

Absolutely brilliant, but don't buy from a ford dealer, buy from a supermarket. I saved £1500. - Advantages: Beautiful, Inexpensive to run, fun - Disadvantages: dodgy glove box

For many of us, buying a new car means a replacement rather than new. I have owned some pretty awesome motors in the distant past, before a long drawn out dip in fortunes meant that I took anything that was going. Nowdays, although I have more choice, I don't need to make any statements. A car is the only reason that I take out a loan and I ... Read the complete review

HAS NOT MISED AT BEAT, HAN'NT EVEN HAD TO REPLACE A LIGHTBULB IN 30000 MILES - Advantages: good fuel consumption, reliable, roomy front - Disadvantages: slow acceleration at speed, cramped rewar seats

I owned a Ford Ka (Collection model) for a month (January 2002) after having Ford Fiesta. I was keen on trying a Ka because I liked the way they looked but as they say, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. What a disappointment. The Ka I had was only a year old and had 11K miles on so it wasn't as if I had an early model or ... Read the complete review

I absolutely adore this car and believe myself to be very lucky to have it as my first. Having only passed my driving test a couple of months ago I was rather nervous about going out on my own but this little beauty made my introduction a dream. They're incredibly easy to handle and can fit into the smallest of parking spaces. The size of ... Read the complete review

What Car magazine's 'Best Budget Car', good comments from friends about how fun they are to drive and a generous deal from a very honest salesman at a Ford dealership saw me the proud owner of a black Ka Style - basically the base model but with body-coloured bumpers and a beefier stereo. Having driven a Vauxhall Cavalier for ... Read the complete review

I am 21 yr old student and I love my ka. I use it frequently and have owned it since xmas. The best thing about the ka is its versatility, functional and stylish... I can fit a shedload of gear in the ka and yet impress the ladies too. Good: Nippy, spacious, nice features - fully upgradeable, looks cool, cheap to run, airbag(s), easy/fun ... Unlike many cars in our garage, you don't end up approaching the Ford Ka, wondering: "Er, is this the Primera or the Carina?" Instead you think: "This could be a laugh." And it is... most of the time. Unlike most small non-GTi cars, it really gets stuck into corners. Deathly slow mini-roundabouts you'd barely ... Read the complete review

it will not suit everyone's tastes, but you can't beat it for a cheap runabout - Advantages: fun to drive!, quite economical, yet reasonably rapid (for a small car), dead easy to park! - Disadvantages: cruddy radio on base model - only 3 presets, can only take 2 passengers in the back

My Mum has been driving a KA for about 3 years now. I regularly borrow it when I'm going on a long journey. It helps her for the car to get a good run, as she only uses it for local trips. It helps me to keep the mileage down on my car, I'm doing about 6000 miles in six months so taking the KA on the longer trips keeps this down. ... Read the complete review
