What is the attraction with the Ford Ka? My nan's previous car was a Ka, and I loathed it. From the outside they are not the most attractive car in the world. I thought that huge, wheel arch enveloping bumpers were long gone, but no, I was wrong. The car in general looks unbalanced, as if it is rearing to leap forward off of those ... I've had a Ka for three years, and I really rate it; it's a second car used for short journeys only, so the small boot and rear space are not an issue for me (apart from having to put the seats down to fit golf clubs in!). What's great about it is how nippy and good to drive it is around the country lanes where I live. It's quite ... Read the complete review

"Ford are proud to announce the release of their new car for the millenium, the Ford Ka." Or so they would liked you to believe when it hit the streets 4 years ago. But it is really not their design. It was engineered, designed and presented by an external design house. The engineering geniuses that designed the Ford Ka ... Read the complete review

It's actually my wife that owns the car so I am not going to give an opinion about using the car on a regular basis. The car is a Ford Ka Black limited edition and is about 18 months old. The main thrust of my opinion is based around the problems we have had with the Ka. On the whole it has been a good car and is a ... Read the complete review

I bought my first Ford KA two years ago it was a totally basic model no power steering or gadgets Really i wanted a BMW but realistically couldn't afford to run one. Advantage numero one over the BMW fuel consumption 45 plus to the gallon top speed approx 96mph that had to change. The engine being a 1.3 endura is not the best would have ... Our KA millenium edition (the yellow one)is 13 months old and already has had a new gearbox and the fuel consumption has dropped from 45+ mpg to 34 if we are lucky. Worst of all there is rust EVERYWHERE, on the door sills, behind the grille under the bonnet, on the tailgate ..... It has been into the bodyshop and all they have done is rub down ... I bought my T-Reg Ford KA2 Special Edition nearly two years ago now and got a really good deal on it as it was a garage show car and only had about 500 miles on the clock ( if you are looking to save some money then it may be worth asking about test drive/show cars.) There are many great things about this unusual car so here we go.... ... Read the complete review

I had a Ford Ka on hire a while back and I think it was probably the best car of its type I've been offered (i.e base model mini cheapest hire). What really stood out was the handling, it was like driving a little go kart. Great for nipping through traffic and zipping up multistories and dead easy to park, really chuckable. OK, ... Ford have made a quite staggering leap forward in the quality of their products over the last 7 or 8 years. They have successfully gone from producing vehicles that epitomised conservative mediocrity to making cars that are individual, innovative and dynamically superb. If one car embodies this transitition more than any other, then it is the ... Read the complete review

Having driven many small cars in my time my experience behind the wheel of the Ka 3 was astonishing. Although bug-like in appearance, the features crammed into such a small package are amazing. A CD player, air-con, power steering, alloys and a 1.3 fuel injected engine. The seating is excellent. I am 6 foot 3 and had no trouble in the ... Read the complete review

Having had my Ka for exactly one year I can confirm that it is an exceptional car. The quality of workmanship is fairly high, for a supermini and so far and after 10,000 miles I've had no problems with it. The Ka's performance is great around town, with a 1.3 litre engine and plent of torque in the lower gears. The ... Read the complete review

I am on my 3rd Ford Ka. There are two reasons for this: 1: I can't afford to have a bigger car i.e. Ford Puma 2: I like the little things Okay, so the Ford Ka 1.3 litre engine is not the most attractive 'bubble' car on the road, although it has a nice rounded, streamlined shape, and it can do 85-90mph ... Ford Ka is one of those cars where you look at it and think 'what a wonderful super-mini' or you think totally the opposite 'I hate that car, the shape is horrible'. Well, personally speaking I don't hate it but I do not like it either. The horrible curve of this thing is the main reason why I wouldn't buy this car. It has ... Read the complete review

Having always driven large saloon cars for over 15 years like Cavalier SRI, Alfa 146, Nissan Primera 2.0L (odd combination!!) I was surprised when the other day I was given a courtesy Ford Ka car, to find that it takes corners like ‘Pritt Stick’ to paper!!! The handling around corners is excellent even at speeds of 60mph ... Read the complete review

When I was looking for a new small car in the Summer, I looked at all the models in the class such as the Vauxhall Corsa and the Toyota Yaris. However, amongst the crowd, the Ford Ka stood out for a number of reasons. Firstly, I loved the body shape of the Ka. When it came out I hated it but over time it has slowly grown on me. Secondly, ... Read the complete review

My Mum has been driving a KA for about 3 years now. I regularly borrow it when I'm going on a long journey. It helps her for the car to get a good run, as she only uses it for local trips. It helps me to keep the mileage down on my car, I'm doing about 6000 miles in six months so taking the KA on the longer trips keeps this down. ... Read the complete review

I recently purchased a Ford Ka, I was attracted by the look of the car, and also the size (you can fit it into almost any parking space) the first time I drove the car, it seemed fine, I was very pleased with it. It wasn’t until a few weeks later, that the problems started to occur, the first think that I noticed that had ... Read the complete review

To be honest I have no real interest in cars at all. I just wanted to get a new one quickly. I was supposed to be getting a Corsa but that fell through and I was offered a Ford Ka. I just thought, what the hell and said yes. The first time I even drove it was when I picked it up. I can hear gasps of disbelief at that last statement! ... Read the complete review

The Ford KA is a revelation. Based on the Fiesta platform, the KA is a superb town car, with surprisingly good motorway and "A" road capability. The engine is a fuel injected version of Ford's traditional 1300cc unit, and it offers an easy 60 bhp with an ample spread of torque at moderate revs. Although I normally prefer ...
