Advantages: Really comfortable, Smooth ride, All mod cons

Disadvantages: Extremely long, parking can sometimes prove problematic

Superb Car.

The Mondeo Verona is special addition which I believe was available from an R registration right up to a handful on an X plate (which ours was).

What a lovely car this is. Pleasing to the eye (especially in black like ours), with it's sleek curves and alloy wheels.

A very comfortable car, with all mod cons, including air conditiong, electric front windows, remote central locking and all important heated "quickclear" front windscreen (unique to Ford) that I would be lost without. I can't stand all that faffing around with demisters and ice scrapers!

The 1.8 16v engine makes most motoring almost effortless, although sometimes overtaking can be worrying if trying from low revs. Smooth gear changes and good suspension gives a very smooth ride.

A great car for families, plenty of back seat room (3 full size seats with 3 point seatbelts), and a massive boot for luggage/pushchairs.

Only one problem I have found is that because of its overall size sometimes parking can be difficult. Small multistoreys or car parks with small parking bays can cause a problem. Sometimes the length means that it boot hangs over the edge of the bay.

Otherwise, a great car. Highly recommended, and available at a good price. We bought ours new just as they had started selling the new shape Mondeo, so managed to get a very good spec. car for only £9995 - bargain!

We had this car for 2 years and had no problems with it mechanically at all. The only time it went to the garage was for servicing - interim 6,000 miles or 6 months and full service at 10,000 or 12 months. Being a Ford, servicing was very reasonable and the only parts we had to have replaced that weren't covered under service were tyres and even they weren't particularly expensive, even though they were alloys.

I loved this car and it was a shame to see it go, but it just wasn't getting the use any more. We
moved house in 2002 and the car spent most of the time sat on the drive, only being used to travel the 4 minutes to and 4 minutes from work every day so we traded it in for something smaller.

But we know that somebody else somewhere should be pleased with it, as we looked after it so well. I just hope they enjoy it as much as we did.

Hi and welcome to dooyoo. A nicely written first opinion. I would have given a higher rating if you had given us more information about your car. Enjoy the site.
