Advantages: comfort, boot size, ipod connector

Disadvantages: low gears

I chose this 58 plate ford mondeo as a company car after a lot of research. I chose the car for several reasons. The main reason was that the 2007 model had a 5 star safety rating, and so i know that this one would be at least as good. Seems to have airbags for its airbags!! Although the higher models have better toys, this was the budjet limit for me. I would have loved to have the next model up for it has the bluetooth which would be a great addition. The boot size is massive and means i can take heaps with me on holiday, not to mention all the stuff the kids need.

The zetec has its share of toys though, with alloy wheels, voice commands, dual climate contril and for me the ipod connector was a lovely feature. Plug in a pohon wire from any ipods earphone connection and you have all your music without the CDs.

There are a few beefs i have with the car, but nothing major. The bottom 2 gears are prety crappy, and take off from standstill is nothing to brag about. I did thing this was the 1.8 engine, but have since tried a 2.0 engine, and it is no better. The ratios must be to blame. As most of my driving is motorways this car is beautiful, 6th gear is very quiet and still has plenty of power.

great for lots of motorway miles, but remember its not a GTi

UPDATE 1/6/9. OMG i am such a fool sometimes. The Zetec does have the blootooth kit, you need the radio turned on to connect, i discivered my BT was turned off in the options!! press the menu button on the radio and cycle through until you see BT and turn it on. Love the car even more now, you cant miss calls due to loud misic as it will turn off the station/CD when a call comes in and play the phone through your car speakers, cool.

Summary: great for motorway driving
