After sitting at home one day remembering all the cars I have owned in the past one car really sprung to mind. Back in 2005 I bought a 1997 Ford Mondeo ST24 with the RSAP ( Rally Sport Appearance Package ) Kit with 89,000 miles for about £2000, I actually only intended to keep it for a couple of months as I thought I would be moving overseas within a couple of months and was also driving 110 Miles a day to work and back and knew it would kill me in petrol if I kept it long term, the reason I bought it was I always had wanted one and having previously had a MK2 Mondeo ( 1.8TD ) knew that Mondeo's could be reliable, and even if there were problems they could be ... 3 years old, 100,000 miles - you could say I've driven this car a fair bit. Then the reality, I got this car when it was one year old, with 11k on the clock, so I've "only" done 89k in 2 years. And I still love it!!! BACKGROUND: I had about £13k to spend on a "new" car, I'd just given up my company car and needed something reliable to get me around the M25 each and every day.
