Advantages: Reliability, cheap to maintain, solid build

Disadvantages: 1.6 Litre Performance, likes a bit of rust

As a car trader I have driven many cars in the past. The Sierra is very reliable and parts are very cheap. If you want a cheap car that's reliable then this is the one. A lot of people tend to go for cheap Japanese cars but in my opinion these are expensive to maintain and not sturdy enough.

If buying a Sierra then check that it hasn't been a mini-cab all it's life. Check the back seat has not collapsed and mega mileages really. These cars can easily manage 100k and more, my Dad has an 89 F-ref 1.8 LX, done 150,000 miles and still going strong. Only thing it fails the MOT on is a bit of welding underneath each time, other than that it's fine.
If anyone is thinking of buying a car soon then I would be happy to guide them in the right direction.

Anyway, take my word for it.
