Advantages: Great engine, good equipment levels, all round ability

Disadvantages: Lack of character, 'tinny' feel

Ask me to describe from memory what the Honda Accord looks like and I'd be stuck. And that, to me sums up this car. It does evrything very well - it's comfortable, it has good equipment levels, it handles well, it reliable. But that's the problem with the Accord, it's competent in evrything it does, but it doesn't excel (or excite) in anything. Nothing stands out. OK, it could be argued that the 1.8 VTEC engine is a punchy unit that really kicks in when taken over 5,500 rpm, but that in itself doesn't do enough to save this cr from sinking into the category of worthy, yet boring.Prior to the Accord, I was driving a Rover 75, a car that whilst not to everyones tastes, has character something the Accord sorely misses.

Are you sure your not getting the Rover and the Honda mixed up?
