Advantages: Holds value, looks neat, runs brilliantly

Disadvantages: Might have to wait for one, despite there not being many about, Turning cirle takes some getting used to

Don't assume that because a car is not drop-dead gorgeous that it is dull, and don't assume that because it is not European that it is not well built.

Having previously driven a BMW 3 series the Honda Accord (T-reg) is a definite step up.

Improved is the level of equipment, improved is the performance, improved is the feeling of comfort and safety.

Sure, if you go for a 5 or 7 series, or even a ridiculously expensive BMW 3, you will get some of these things, but is it worth is, I think not. The Accord is a very high quality car, that looks good, performs well (road-holding is outstanding), and stands out from the crown.

Those inside one know that the engine is outstanding, those outside will look twice, because there are still not many about (by comparison to the BMW's and Mondeo's which clutter the Queen's highway).

This car will hold it's value, and your attention, and is cheaper and more readily available than the Audi, another car I'd buy before the BMW again. Oh, and it's not a Rover. And before you go on about poor old Rover, consider this: If they built cars that were any good, and then priced them properly, rather than assuming that people would pay a premium for British-made (Triumph Dolomite?!?), then they wouldn't have got into the mess they are in. Oh yes, and Rover's are boring, even their current range of off-the-peg retro kitch grilles looks tired.
