Advantages: COLOUR
Disadvantages: IT WAS EVER BUILT
After reading comments from other members i decided on another approach, any offers? FOR SALE HONDA ACCORD TYPE V Mileage 17400-should only be 12500 but had to go to the dealer several times. Colour blue-now that the rust has been painted. Lets have a trip around the car. Once the headlight washers had been repaired night driving was ok. You will notice four nice new alloy wheels have been fitted because the old ones were corroded. The directional tyres soon worked again once they had been refitted the correct way. Inside you will notice both front leather seats have been recovered because of seams splitting. Your feet will rest on a nice new interior carpet as the old one turned to dust in places. The missing trim parts have also been refitted The interior I think you will agree is very clean, due to the car being returned to the dealer many times for valeting to have the oil and grease removed-usually after repairs. On start up the noise level from the engine is now fine-as the water pump has been changed. Should you wish to drive away with a cold engine-the radio should be turned up so that the rattles from the replacement gear box do not disturb you. Whilst driving, the recently fitted 5 door seals reduce the outside noise so you can hear the drivers door cracking when cornering. The bumping noise from the front may be the new shocker bedding in. I hope you agree this a surprising car in many ways, so much so, Honda UK and the dealer say tough luck, and suggest I buy another car-from another dealer. Should you purchase the car I would recommend finding your own repairing dealer as mine has trouble diagnosing death in a corpse. Thanks for reading this; hopefully it wont put you of buying this outstanding car.

- 23/08/02 Hi Murky, it sounds like a bad experience all round! |

- 23/08/02 Surprised to hear such a comment against the Manufacturer that is known to be the most reliable manufacturer of cars in the world as voted by nearly all independant reviewing bodies (e.g. Which for one) I have had a Honda for nearly 4 years from new and it hasnt even had a rattle. It sound like you are unfortunate in that you got the lemon that I'm sure all manufacturers turn out from time to time. (Especially Vauxhall) |

- 23/08/02 Welcome to dooyoo, too. It seems your problem is more with the dealer than with the car. Possibly you've got the runt of the litter as I know a few Accord drivers who are well satisfied and my Rover 600 is basically an Accord, albeit an older model and it's fine. A little more balance maybe? |
