Advantages: Reliable, Solid,

Disadvantages: Handling as standard (get it lowered), Seats, not all that exciting to drive

I had the 1.5 LSi 4 door saloon model of this car. It was black and the year of it was a 1996 'N' plate i believe.

I had the car for about a year before I got rid of it, but it was a good car while i had it. The bodywork was straight, just the regular couple of dings that you might find the carpark has served you with. One very small patch of rust formed on one of the rear arches, about the size of a 5 pence piece started bubbling up. Apart from that, it was very straight and no real problems with the body work.

The engine was brilliant, I never had any reliability problems with this car whatsoever, I didn't even service it as often as i should have and it was still such a reward to drive in respect of the smoothness and power delivery. Can't remember how much power these cars had, Im sure a quick search on parkers will tell you but this was a 1.5 model so it had a little poke but it was no sports car by any means.

The interior is very typically japanese, lots of plastics and bland colour interiors, unsupportive seats which could be a bit annoying on hard corners with me falling to the side a bit but on the whole comfortable and easy to live with.

The car was very good and was used as a daily runner, when I sold the car it must've had just under 150,000 miles and was still running fine with no problems. Had an economic light on the dash to tell you when you are (you guessed it!) driving economically.

The reason i sold the car was just purely because I like a Drivers car and it was just a bit boring to be honest, but if i was to have a hot hatch on the side again, i would buy another Honda because it really was more faultless than any other car i have owned.

Summary: if you want a reliable workhorse for everyday use, its not bad
