Advantages: Good equipment.

Disadvantages: Bad looks, only front wheel drive, flimsy poorly made interior...e.t.c!

The Honda HRV is a car that I dearly hate. The £13,000 HRV is very expensive for what you get and there isn't even four-wheel drive, there is just front-wheel drive.

However, when my friend let me drive this car for the weekend, I found it was dead easy to drive. The five-speed manual gearbox and the clutch are perfectly balanced and wonderfully light. The 1.6-litre, 16 valve, 4 cylinder engine isn't very impressive and the car does 0-62mph in an unimpressive 11.2 seconds.

For £13,000, however, you do get a lot of kit such as air-conditioning, twin airbags and anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution that all come as standard. However, the interior is rather poor, everything is made of plastic, a typical Japenese car. Everything is very flimsy and poorly made.

So, what is the verdict? Well, there are some goodies that come with the car such as aircon but it is all overpriced at £13,000. It looks horrible and the interior is very poor. There are good and bad points about this car but the bad unfortunately defeat the good!
