Honda Jazz 1.4
Advantages: Reliable, Safe, Practical
Disadvantages: More expensive than other small cars
When it was time to upgrade my car I chose the car as I wanted something that would be reliable, safe, cheap to run, and practical. So far, the Honda Jazz has ticked every box.
I have had my Honda Jazz for about 2 years and haven't had any problems with it at all, reliability was a big factor in my decision making and it really has lived up to the saleswoman's pitch. I haven't even needed to change a bulb! It's very fuel efficient for a car of it's size, mine is a 57 plate and gets about 45 mpg (petrol). It's spacious and can comfortably fit three child seats in the back, and has a very roomy boot. It has some cool party tricks too - the back seats fold up like cinema seats, and when the back seats are collapsed they go completely flat (unlike most hatchbacks), giving it a feel of a small van - great for filling up with camping gear or moving house. It's very sturdy too, I have had two minor accidents in it (whoops!) and, on both occasions, the bumpers were left with very minimal damage.
It's not the sportiest car, nor will it give you much street cred, but if you're looking for something, safe, reliable, and practical, I would definitely recommend the Jazz.
Summary: I strongly recommend this car
