Ive how owned a baby blue Honda Legend for two months.Its the six cylinder 2.7 litres 2 door coupe auto version in metallic blue on a 1988 E plate.I bought it for £550 quid, up to now what a bargain.Its got leather electric seats, power steering, electric sunroof , electric windows and mirrors and central locking.Best of all its got cruise control and aircon....but heres the down side.The aircon was disconnected by a previous owner due to the low miles ber gallon.Even with it off I only average 9mpg round the doors and up to 23mpg on a run.It automatically indicators when you pass a petrol station(only joking)Insurance is a group 16,but is not expensive thanks to ... Apart from Quentin Wilson (Top Gear) very little has been said about this car in the UK and you rarely see them. OK, so it doesn't have the cachet of Merc or BMW but what it does have is build quality, a full spec, driveability and an F1-inspired engine that seems unburstable and will go on for ever. I've been a Legend driver since 1994, starting with a 2.7 and moving on to the 3.2 (Mk II) in '97. The original Legend was a stable-mate of the Rover Sterling but Honda's quality control ensured much higher residual values.
