Having read a number of the reviews, I must say they don't tally with my experience of my Accent 3.1 Gsi.An X REG so it may be classed as a bit ancient but with 75.000 miles on the clock and only "normal acceptable repairs over the years" it has given and still give excellent service. Just completed a four hundred mile round trip and she ran like a dream. One must remember this car is in the budget price range and it has to be real value for money. I would hope to keep and run for a few more years yet. Oh my other car {just got rid of} was a Rover 25 and frankly there was no contest between the two- I stick with the Accent

I've owned my Accent now for a while, after the floorpan of my Rover Metro fell out on the MOT bench (And the headgasket blew up. And caught fire. And ate itself with rust. But that's another story). It's a 51 plate, January 2002 model, in a lovely metallic blue. This comes after Hyundai started to move into actually ... Read the complete review

The particluar model I am reviewing is the Hyundai Accent Coupe 1.3i 1998(S) which is the older style with the more rounded look. I personally prefer the look of these to the newer style but that's just a matter of taste. I bought my Hyundai Accent 6 years ago when it was 3 years old. My father was the previous owner so the ... I made a mistake of buying an Accent because it looked nice! On the way home from the dealership the gearbox crunched. "Not a problem sir, it probably needs the linkage realigned" Realigned, on a new car? Sounds a bit odd! Anyway, they did it, and it was fine, for a bit, then the fault came back, got fixed, came back....... It ... Read the complete review

The car - a 1998 1.3 Si Accent Coupe in old man's burgendy. The place - Sheffield, with the odd jaunt up and down the M1. The result - Drivability and handling 0 Reliability and economy 6, a very comfortable away win. I bought my Hyundai in April 2001 after five years blasting about in Alfas (when they worked). I think the ... Read the complete review

I have changed my op rapidly on this car because of the problems we have had over the last few months with it. We have had to take it too the garage six times due to one fault which they have as yet not fixed they have just seemed to charge us for parts we do not need. So out of pocket next week we will be without transport and ... Read the complete review
