Advantages: Petrol Efficient, good looking car, quick acceleration
Disadvantages: eats oil! Has had problems with petrol tank vs cutting out the engine, high insurance group
I have owned this car now for 2 years, passed onto me by my grandmother. I have to say it has been a life saver.
Since owning this car I have covered nearly 40,000 miles. Having a job which means traveling to different cities and being self employed means i need a car that does not gulp petrol! This car is extremely petrol efficient and despite now being 10 years old, still performs well. Being a 1.5 L engine is perfect for acceleration especially on motorways.
Although it does now have a few problems.... one strange problem which no one has seemed to be able to resolve is that i cannot fill the car up with petrol more than half way without it misfiring.... and then cutting out completely.... having power steering means that when the car decides to cut out on sharp corners (which has only happened once) it takes a bit of elbow grease to steer and quickly turn the engine back on. I'm not too sure if this is a common problem with this particular car, but its not a sever enough problem to bother me. So as long as i DONT fill up this car more than half way now, it is the ideal car for me, for regular long distance motorway journeys!
Half a tank is usually around £23 these days at 130.9 per L
Summary: perfect for new drivers who travel long distance journeys
