Advantages: Price, Low Insurance group, looks, flexibility
Disadvantages: Very few! SE model carries a higher insurance group
The 2000 Hyundai Coupe is a very cool car - and perfect for younger drivers because of the low insurance rating - the basic 1.6 is just a group 9 (Although if you're young it's all relative with this class of car!) The looks of the car are one it it's greatest assets - I almost always get looks when I'm driving down the street (and I doubt that's because of who's driving!) The four round lights at the front look distinctive and the curves around these flow up the bonnet and into the side of the car making it look really dynamic and smooth. Inside the car is modern with aluminium effect on all the controls and a quality Sony stereo as standard (Tape/Radio on the basic CD on the SE) This effect may sound tacky but it does make the inside look modern, clean and appealing. I had black leather fitted by my dealer, which isn't a standard option - it cost an extra £700 and was done by Knights of Newcastle (Well worth it and all organised by my dealer. I'm lead to believe that all dealers can organise this as Knights are recommended by Hyundai UK) I've waffled on about how great this car is because that's how I feel - if you look around the market there are some great cars - the Toyota Celica, the Audi A3 and the Ford Cougar - all in the same category as the Hyundai - but all 25% more expensive and a hell of a lot more to insure. When buying my Coupe I found a great homepage with some great pictures and a really comprehensive review. You can visit it too at http://www.t-h-c.org Happy driving!
