I know I do not have much credibility on this site but I am going to do an actual product review about my Jeep. I will not deny that I have some issues to deal with and I do not live with the delusion that I am OK. I bought a new 2002 Jeep on December 11th 2002. Actually I leased it for 48 months because of my situation I am in it would not have been prudent to buy it. I decided to buy it with out even test driving it because I need to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle and it was the best deal I could find. So it has the aero-dynamics of a brick the the fuel consumption isn't really in the same category of 'DIESELS' but it is never the less a bundle of fun. With both soft and hard tops the car is reasonably functional all year round. The performance isn't amazing but on the 'Last Model' the handling was comparible to that of a giant mini. In the summer the fact that the roof and the doors come off and the windscreen drops makes the car stand out and great to drive. The steering is very light but you have the feeling that you could drive through a brick wall. In heavy traffic the high seating position brings light relief and all round visibilty. If ... If you want a nice comfortable car with room for 5 and a boot for the shopping, that does about 40 to the gallon, and can cruise all day on motorways without any fuss, and lets you listen to your favourite classical piece with hardly a decibel of wind noise, then go and buy your cardigan and slippers now, and read no further. On the other hand... ...if you want to forget the hassles and stresses of life, the humdrum of the office, the moans and the complaints, take the top off a Wrangler, slot in John Cougar Mellencamp at full chat, chuck the Prozac away, boot the pedal, and ENJOY!!!
