After learning to drive for the 2nd time at 23 I knew I had to do it this time, I tried when I was 17 but I ran out of money due to moving out of home at 17 too and living in a city I never really required a car. I passed anyway 4th time! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was when I got the news that I had finally made it! I had freedom. I have had two Kia's and can't complain about either of them. They never let me down and did the job they were bought for, that is, to transport a family about all their daily routines and to be a general workhorse with economy. Had the first for about two years and the second one about 18 month. Why did I change? I needed a four door version because three doors is no fun getting grandson's baby car seat in and out. When it came to change I was offered a good part exchange for another Kia but I was a little concerned that the shape and style of the Kia Pride was somewhat dated. I purchased a Kia Pride as my first brand new car as it was the cheapest on the market with a brand name that was tainted by a joke image, I was delighted with my purchase which went to to provide five years of trouble free motoring. Passengers never failed to be amazed at the interior room and the fact it was available new for the prices of a used fiesta or micra. The economy was excellent though relative to purchase price servicing seemed costly and my local dealer who also held a Mazda franchise treated me poorly, in my opinion because it was the cheapest car they sold.
