dreamer87 Kia Picanto: ... I have owned my Kia Picanto now for 2 whole months! After running my Ford KA into the ground it really was time for a change, I opted for the exellent government scrappage scheme and off to the Kia garage we went. Eneded up choosing the metallic silver and I have to say, everyone comments on the glittering paintwork as it really is a lovely finish. Coming in at £35 a year tax, you really can t go wrong, great on...

... journey or task in hand (a van for Ikea, or a efficient diesel for a long trip) I don t have to worry about the menial day to day running costs and practicalities of owning a car. It also means I get the modest rental counter excitement of wondering what sort of car I m going to get this time. At Hertz in a large Scottish city this month, I was handed the keys to a brand new gunmetal grey Kia C eed 1.6 (which rents in their class C, comparable to a Focus or Astra). This was a first time for me, and I was prepared to put my preconceptions of Korean cars asides to give it a punt. Boy, was I impressed. In the couple of decades since I saw my first Kia on British roa...

... is one of those cars that you would just not even bat an eyelid at. Having owned one for a while I found out why people just do not buy these cars! Firstly to look at they are just plain ugly and that s putting it politely. There is just no style to them whatsoever and on the inside the story is no different. It was bland and dull with a mixture of cloth and plastic that gave it a nasty cheap feel inside. However, I have to admit that besides being repulsive in the looks department there did lie some hidden talents. Starting off with the bargain basement price, where its rivals (Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra) don t even get a look in! You can pick one of these up for we...

... for the 2nd time at 23 I knew I had to do it this time, I tried when I was 17 but I ran out of money due to moving out of home at 17 too and living in a city I never really required a car. I passed anyway 4th time! I can t even begin to tell you how excited I was when I got the news that I had finally made it! I had freedom. Before I passed my test, My Mum and Dad gave me there other car The Kia Pride from what I can remember it was an L Reg and looked really old and not very eye catching but I was so pleased to have been given this car as it was my own. It had also been in our family for 10 years as my sister bought it at 18mths and she sold it to my mum, 7 years l...
