Kia Picanto:
... hold out much hope.
I found a Kia Picanto on a major car dealership website. The Kia 20 months old, had done 22,00 miles and was priced at £4,000.
When I went to view the car I liked it straight away and after a test drive decide to buy it.
I have now had my Kia six months and have grown very fond of it.
Advantages-
Very reasonable to buy £4000 for 2006 plate
Very cheap to run, 1lt petrol engine

Kia Shuma in general ... so (as with any cars aircon) however not to such an extent that it makes the vehicle kangaroo or in any other way unusable. Acceleration is affected with the unit running but not excessively so. In fact the only gripe I have with the air con is that when you switch from screen to any other setting it turns off! Internally the vehicle is quite nicely trimmed with velvet type roof lining and a dashboard that isn't as plasticy as some more mainstream cars I have driven (Hondas HRV springs to mind), seats are comfortable and it comes with ISOFIX fittings on the rear seats (absolutely excellent innovation) so that your child seats are totally immovable. Kia Picanto ... it's fine and I don't mind the relatively long throw but mine doesn't like changing up to, or down to, second gear. Refinement levels seem better than the other cars I test drove before buying. Certainly the ride is more comfortable and seems less affected by poor road surfaces than the Seat Arosa / VW Lupo, although the front seats in the Volkswagen seemed a cut above those of the Kia. For short journeys the Kia's are fine though and they haven't caused any discomfort. Then there's the brakes, which are fabulous. Handling isn't bad at all, although tight corners do cause the body to lean somewhat and those in a hurry will find that understeer sets in quite early,... Kia Picanto ... think it was a much larger car. Test drive We took the car for a short spin and found one fault with the car, nothing bad though, it was the fact that the breaks were so sharp that i ended up with my face against the windscreen at the first junction(i could blame it on my wifes driving, but just incase she sees this i wont). after a few laps around the block we decided to go back and speak to the salesman, they were great, they gave us zero percent finance up to 5 yrs, whichever we wanted. One week later we popped down and picked it up, they even gave us half a tank of fuel. The engine is a 1.1 and gives a great 42mpg and you can fill the tank up for a mere £23. The car...
