Just bought one with a 51 plate .Looked superb but I am afraid the dealer that sold it was not up to scratch. It had not been service for some time. The air filter was a sold lump of mud , the oil filter was on so tight that it too 3 hours to get off !. Upon delivery the drivers door jammed and I had to wait 2 weeks for it to be fixed. A slight squeek from the front turned out to be a dangerously worn wheel bearing , so bad that the mechanic would not re assemble it , leaving me stranded with a four hour train journey to get home. When that was fixed I found I had a slow puncture in one tyre and one of the release cables for a rear seat was broken.
However despite all that now that it has been serviced it is a pleasure to drive . There is plenty of room and enough `oomph` for me. It returns around 30MPH which is more that I got from my previous vehicle a 2 Ltr petrol Dawoo Nubira. There is something special about the vehicles and I can see how easily one could get caught up in the whole enthusiast thing.
