This car has more off road ability than the Range Rover classic so it certainly belongs in the Landrover stable. Fuel consumption is about 30 mpg and top speed is illegal everywhere. The Landrover Freelander; forget recent press about reliability and forget the softroader tag. Ford have sorted this Landrover once and for all. The freelander suffers in only one respect - it has a naff name. This car drives superbly. It rides smooth and true and takes corners in a way that off roaders have no right to. Its snappy V6 engine has plenty of torque and horsepower and many a hot hatch owner is going to be more than a little surprised in the perrenial red light drag race, 0 - 60 in 9seconds is not right for an off roader. Cheap to Run, Cheap to Repair, Strong and as Good as a Comparible 4x4 Showing Her Age now. Not boxy like a New 4x4 (not that that's a bad thing!)

Drives like a car, Spacious, Good set of features, Comfortable, Good Pickup Not very luxurious. Seems bit large for normal car driver.
