The Landrover Freelander; forget recent press about reliability and forget the softroader tag. Ford have sorted this Landrover once and for all. The freelander suffers in only one respect - it has a naff name. This car drives superbly. It rides smooth and true and takes corners in a way that off roaders have no right to. Its snappy V6 engine has plenty of torque and horsepower and many a hot hatch owner is going to be more than a little surprised in the perrenial red light drag race, 0 - 60 in 9seconds is not right for an off roader.
