Advantages: 6 CD's up front and air-con

Disadvantages: the sat-nav can be a little repetitive and doesn't hold enough detail

My husband replaced our beloved Rav4 with an IS200 around this time last year, and I was heartbroken. I loved the little 4 wheeler and hated the thought of driving an "old man's car" (ie a saloon), but from the first time I sat behind the wheel, man, did I change my mind!

This machine goes like the proverbial off a stick; it growls around town like a pent-up tiger and draws many many admiring glances. I love the smooth gear change, with it's shiny chrome knob and the fact that I can load up 6 CD's in the front, without having to rummage around in the boot, but the best feature of all is the folding door mirrors. No more do I have to cringe when pulling into the garage, waiting for the thud of the mirrors twanging back and forth, they're all neatly folded down, well out of the way :)

My advice is test drive it and see. It may not have the kudos of the BMW badge, but it sure has bags more style.

BTW, I still think BMW's should be reserved for the over 50's :)

lol @ tiger and power comments. These things are slooooow. 150bhp and 0-60 of 9.2 is no where near enough to overtake safley at speed or call a car powerfull. They can set the exhuast to make all the noise they like, but it dont make it any quicker. Thats the only reason I cant bring my self to buy one, they are lovely cars for the price otherwise. Why oh why they didnt make a 2.5L one I dont know. A simalar priced beemer (second hand) will probably add 50% at least onto your power, and they look just as good, just less exclusive and probably higher milage thats all. Looks like beemer for me then.

I have always wanted a Lexus from the first time I saw one of my daughters friends getting out of one!! It looked sheer power. I can not drive but if I ever get my licence and pass my test I would want one of these. After reading your opinion I want one even more now!!! Great to hear a "girlie point of view" Thanks
