This car had a 1.8l vvc engine which sounded amazing and is the next step up from the standard Elise. It also had wider wheels at the back. This Elise has a top speed of 133mph although me being a careful lady driver I never made it to this speed!

When serching for a new car a few years ago I had narrowed my choice down to an Audi TT or a Lotus Elise. I looked at both secondhand. The Elise on around an S reg and the TT on a W reg. The TT was a little more expensive but newer but I felt the Elise was just a little more special. I bought my yellow Elise 111s for £9900 private. A great price I thought. These have really dropped in recent years making them very affordable. At insurance group 18 they are high but I got insurance for £700 fully comp - not bad considering the type of car it is.
