The Maserati Khamsin is an excellent GT in every aspect, in some areas even surpassing the Ferrari Daytona. This is a true exotic car, and is quite rare. This car uses the same engine as in the Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS. The engine is "bulletproof" as far a reliability. Most parts are fairly easy to come by, however I would recommend stocking most of the often needed parts (such as clutch plate (if a manual), bearings, gaskets, etc). This way if you need them right away you won't have to worry about Italy being on vacation if you need the parts right away. I drive my Khamsin on an almost daily basis. It is very smooth, very reliable, and turns many heads since very few people know what this car is. Do NOT judge this car by photos. Photos do not do this car justice. It is much lower than it looks, and the side profile is one of the most incredible ever made (except for the 1985- Testarossa). This is a large car, and is quite powerful, even to todays standards. I love the Daytona, however this car is less than 1/4 of the price, and the maintenance costs are much, much lower. On top of that the performance is very similar. I highly recommend this car for someone who is looking for an Italian exotic, but not the budget to afford a Ferrari and it's maintanence.
