Advantages: High-powerd, Cheep, Can beat alot of the new cars on the road today

Disadvantages: Over sensitive powerstearing, Targeted by crimbo's, High insurance

This is a car that scared the hell out of me a few times. Now I didn't own this devilish car. It was my dads. So every now and then (when am in luck) I would get the go-ahead to drive her. She was a G reg,16v,Turbo, injection, with 5 speed manual gear box, all black, base boost in the boot (boost was added by the previous owner), electric windows, electric sunroof , central heating, good sound system, velour trim, alloy wheels, ABS brakes, cruise control, power steering, Central locking, and a little place to put your tapes. All of this came at £2500. I am talking years ago as well. That a the buy of the year.

The Drive

Ahh am getting a buzz just writing about it. Ok you sit in you get comfy. You can adjust the seat for you legs (Very roomy and if you have long legs like me you can get comfy in there), adjust the seats firmness and adjust them wings at the side of your seat (don't know what they are called) so you feel set and ready to go.
You put the key in and start her up (now you know your in for a ride trust me), Gear her up (the clutch is very easy), then EASY on the gas, you check the road and then your off. By now you will know that this car drives by other forces (the first gear is DEVILISH), 2nd gear even more deadlier, 3rd (well I have hit 80mph before in 3rd), you may not need 4th but its a good cruse gear, 5th is great on the motorway and if your a lazy driver just slap on the cruse control (you can also increase the speed on cruise control with a leaver near the steering wheel.
You get a smooth ride, no shacking and vibrations at high speeds.

Down sides

Power steering is far to sensitive (trust me). when your hitting high speeds the steering become very very light making the car even more devilish (light steering can be an up or down for some people depending on what kind of driver you are. Light steering was a down for me) NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED, These cars are targeted by crimbos because they a
re high-powered and easy to get into.

I guess today you could pick this car up for well under a grand and you would be shooting with or even past some of them new cars on the road today. If you are a driver and not a boy-racer (you will kill yourself)looking a cheep fast runner then the Mazda 323 16v Injection is the car for you.
