Advantages: Looks great, great handling car

Disadvantages: conservative styling compared to others in group/class.

The MX5 has to be Mazda's most successful car, and it should be too because it simply is the best Mazda and probably the best open top budget sports car available to buy at the moment. Some people say that it has lost some of it's good points, and that it no longer looks as good, but I think it looks much better.

The car has a lot of style and really is the class leader, no other manufacturer can beat this car at this price (from around £16k to £20k). the only serious competitor is Toyota MR2, but that hasn't got a boot so it clearly isn't as practical.

If you are interested in finding out more about this fabulous car then go to Mazda's homepage. The car won't depreciate anywhere near as much as it's rivals, and is a very sound investment.

The car comes in lots of special editions, and has 1.6i, 1.8i and 1.8 S litre engines, which producce 109, 138, 138 bhp respectively. The fastest model is of course the 1.8i S which sprints to 60 in 7.4 seconds.
