... owned my 1.8i Mazda MX-5 (Mark 2.5 model) for two and half years, but sold it last year when the price of petrol went through the roof. I have to say that it s the best car I ve ever owned. Mazda2 TS2 3dr ... air-con, mp3 player, i-pod connection, steering wheel audio controls, front electric windows (but not rear), 15" alloy wheels, leather gear knob and wheel, 60/40 split rear seats, heated & folding wing mirrors, Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser, side and curtain airbags and ABS. It also has 3 bottle/can holders, 1 in each door and 1 central one. It also has an unusual glove box which Mazda call the magazine rack, basically a hole in the top of the lid (you can buy a cover if you want the contents hidden). The list is not exhaustive and misses out lots of expected things but for an equivalent spec on a Fiesta we we looking at paying about £1000 more for a less... Mazda MX-5 1.8iS ... car? Boat on wheels? Yes we ve all heard it but who cares! Maybe i would if these people drove it and still said the same thing! I bought my MX5 around a year ago, its a UK 1996 mk1 in black. I was in desperate need of a reliable car and Mazda don t seem to ever let anyone down! I bought mine off a young lady who had kept it serviced and in good condition, and duly snapped her hand off. Mazda 323 (1989-94) ... recently bought a Mazda 323 GLX 1994 L reg car and only spent £330 on it. It is the best 330 pounds I have ever spent!! It starts first time even in the freezing cold and is very nippy for an old car. It probably does about 38 miles to the gallon and is in the £180 per year tax bracket. The interior is a little bit naff and is a colourful grey and purple design however I have seen much much worse in more modern vehicles. The carpet inside the car is very thick and luxurious for an old vehicle and it has everything you need from a budget car.
