Firstly I should point out that the car cost £540,000 + VAT new. To get hold of one these days - if you were to find one - would cost at least £1,000,000, so hardly a loss. As far as being a second hand car, if you were to purchase one, McLaren would re-trim and respray the car how you wanted it. I'd heard a lot of stories about the Mclaren F1 and like every other car fanatic I'd watched it with awe on the television, but it wasn't until I won the chance to sit helpless in the passenger seat that I fully appreciated the awesome power of this beast of a car. I used to be quite content with the acceleration I recieved from my Vauxhall Astra GTE, but after a ride in the Mclaren my car feels like a bicycle.
