I bought this car 2 years ago,as an ex-demo car from MB UK. However, during my first year of ownership (2001) the car had to go back to the garage for a faulty alternator(fixed under warranty).Further problems appeared last year (2002) with fuel smell when driving with an open sun-roof.Despite 3 visits to the dealer nothig was found.More problems since then,when the car was declared 'unroadworthy' by virtue of failing its first MOT after 3 years due to excess play of wheels.I discovered that this is a well known problem to MB,that's probably why they contribute 50% of the not insubstantial repair costs,which still leaves a bill of £200 + to be paid to ...
