Advantages: It's a Mercedes

Disadvantages: No room for a 'cello, back row?

This is a very sleek looking car for it's age. Has a very nice engine noise (more of a purr, very distinct). THe most annyoing thing about this car (although it wouldn't bother too many people), is that a full size hard 'cello case doesn't fit inside the boot, literally by a nanometer.

As you sit into the driver's seat, it is as if you were in an airplane! There are so many back-lit buttons, above and below to control various items in the car. My favourite is the button the lowers the back row headrest! The C180 comes with cruise control (massive gimmick). The standard radio that comes with the car is adequate although you can upgrade to a more sophisticated one with in-car navigation via GPS (Global Positioning by Satellite). The economy of the car is great if you drive at 60 mph but above 70 mph, and this car is very un-economical. The back row for passengers is obviously not designed for three people as the middle seat has a very unconfortable rise. Comes with driver and passenger airbags.

Basically, this car has no serious flaws and if you have a few bob to spare, opt for a few of the upgrades, they're worth it!

I've had one for 9 months now, as a company car. It's leased.

It's been very reliable, which is important in my job. With the change in the tax situation on company cars, I'm thinking of buying it at the end of its lease and running it privately for a few years.

Oh, and if your car radio is a Sony, like the one in mine, it's crap. That will be the first thing to go. And cruise control doesn't come as standard!

because a new cello case that is able to withstand a plane light (which is essential for me), would cost £2000 and i can't really afford that! lol (dooyoo, help me out here!)

Oh, and I nearly forgot - can't you get a different cello case ? My son and elder daughter have 6 different violin cases between them - of 5 different designs. One of them fits perfectly in the boot of my son's Nova. The others are all smaller.
