I bought this car from new. Good points are that it is well built and eats up the miles effortlessly on a long run at about 31.8 mpg. The driver and passenger are surrounded by air bags. Things that have gone wrong are an indicator switch which ceased to operate at about 15000 miles and one electric mirror which ceased to work(this is an electric optional extra which allows you to motor the wing mirrors flat along the door from inside the car). Both these were put right free of charge by Mercedes. The dealer is excellent. Things that need to be improved are:- 1. Slightly vague steering. 2. The boot is a little too shallow. 3. Rear passenger leg room is a bit tight. 4. The radio controls are poorly lit at night. The latest C class puts these things right I believe. If and when I renew this car I shall put the new c class high on my list although I might well choose the estate version.
