      Advantages

      Disadvantages

If you want something different, powerful, fun, yet classy. This is the car for you.

I have owned a 2000 CL500 for almost a year now. And dispite having some issues, I am still very much in love with this car. First the good bits; If you want a real head turner, this is the car to have. Costing around £70000 new, its a rare car to come by. The 5litre V8 provides more than enough power to see off any overtaking problem on the road. The car is full of extras and luxuries. It's a beautiful car to drive with the air suspension. Bad bits, its well known for having power steering and air suspension issues which are very costly to repair. For this I recommend a warranty to cover everything, i pay around £50 a month. Gives me peace of mind. The fuel consumpton is high at around 22mpg around town and the highest i've seen is 27mpg on a long motorway run, which considering its a 5 litre monster, i'd say is pretty good. As with most mercs, depreciates massively so pick up a relative bargin with one a few years old!
