Advantages: Very nippy, underestimated, looks great

Disadvantages: A few squeaks and expensive insurance

I bought my ZR 2nd hand, but when they first came out about 4 years ago, I had to have one, they look great, very sporty and even look expensive.

I bought mine for 6.5k which i thought was very good at the time, as you can buy a second hand corsa, even a new fiesta for that.
I wanted a car that was a bit different and stood out from all the small 'common' cars there are about. I certainly got that. The seats hug you in just the right places, the acceleration is excellent, the handling is very good - you can certainly push it on the motorway without any problems and when you are nipping about in tight spots, the power steering really aids this. Also, drivers seem to underestimate it, especially as the 1.8 120+ is not on the back of the car.

I use my car for getting to work and back, (About 30 miles each way) and driving at weekends. The general comfort of the car is very good, I suffer from a bad back and when you are alowed to slouch in a car, it gets worse, but the seats in the MG ensure you stay upright and have just the right amount of comfort.

I am very proud of my car, and i always make my friends travel in my car if we go anywhere, its just that bit more stylish and sporty than other small cars.

I will keep my MG for a few years to come, I just wish they were still making them, then i would probably trade it in for a newer one!

The downfalls of the MG are that my driver's seat squeaks occasionaly then seems to go away, and there is no electric windows, surely a car with so many extras should have electric windows!?

I havent had any problems with the car so far, but you would expect that for a car that is the same age.

All in all, I would recommend the MG ZR to anyone, it certainly leaves the rest of the small car pack behind in so many ways, and i wouldnt swap mine for anything!
