Solid build quality, Extremely reliable and dependable. Highly recommend.

When Looking to make this purchase I was primarily concerned with getting something that was going to last very high mileage with minimum costs and provide reasonable comfort in the process. Speed would also have been a nice bonus. I bought this used from a Mitsubishi dealer. While I dont like the servicing from the dealer (terrible in my opinion), I do like the car.

The 1.6 Carisma provides the the first two, but, and the speed is there, you just have to wait a little to get there ! I have not had one major maintenance issue in 3 years and 100K miles of driving. The light on the clock went out the other week, and the central locking does not work from the passengers side. (A fault I put down to a particular passenger than the car!).

Its a solid reliable, cofortable car, with a lot of extras that normally only come on higher priced cars. (electic mirrors, electic windows, electric roof, demisting mirrors, adjustable headlights, central locking, fully variable speed windscreen wiper, good ventilation system.

The car is into the mid 100K mileage, and valued at about 700GBP im told. But I expect it to be going for a few more years yet.

Very pleased with what I wanted it to do and what it does. And sometimes.. it even feels quite zippy.

      ADDTIONAL NOTE: March 2007...
The car is now at 190,000 miles on the clock. Still no major repairs. One of the most expensive lately has been the repair of the drivers electric window motor.. which was starting to struggle a while ago. The car is now 11 years old. The heavy platic key fob has also worn out and I cannot get a replacement for it easily. So when the other one wears out, I may have to replace the car as the key fobs have an engine disablement device on them. So when they wear out, I will not be able to use the car if I cannot get a replacement.
