I have been the owner of a Mitsubishi Colt for some 18 months now. I paid £6500 for a used R 98, which had done 16000mls, I am now up to 36000mls and what a trouble free time its been.

This model comes with a rear roof spoiler, PAS, electric windows, electric mirrors and electric sunroof. Its 16valve 1.6ltr engine gets you to 60 in about 10secs. But I did not know all this at first I just liked the shape and look of the car and bought it for that alone.

There is plenty of room in the car for 4-5 adults and the boot is also big enough for more than the shopping, ok it is a 3 door slightly bigger than a Renault Clio but it just seems really roomy.

With safety in mind you get a drivers airbag but all new ones also have a passenger one too. Incase somebody wants to nick it you have a factory fitted immobilser for peace of mind. Insurance is reasonable but shop around I have been told it is group 6 and also its group 13. Im paying £650 for the year and im 26 3 years no claims.


Servicing is every 9 months or every 9k miles this can be expensive if you go to the Mitsubishi garage to get it done but I go there anyway as it always looks better on the service records that it has full Mitsubishi service and they deal with these cars day in day out.
