Mitsubishi L200 (Mitsubishi L 200 2.5 TD GL 4WD)
Member Name: actionlaura
Advantages: Rugged, true 4WD Disadvantages: alot of turning space needed My partner is a property developer and as you can imagine came home filthy with plaster etc etc everyday. We had a Mitsubishi Shogun which was getting ruined! We wanted a car which could be used for work but was also smart enough for general use. I was also pregnant at the time so needed plenty of room fo car seats etc. We opted for a double cab and traded in the shogun. The truck itself was quite basic and we added an aluminium liner etc into the back and roll bars. We also opted for seat covers as the light grey upholstery was not ideal. The cd player/radio was very basic and as we aleady had a decent Kenwood cd player with cd changer we asked for this to be fitted. For general work use its fine, its rugged and takes a lot of stick. Its had stone amongst other things dropped into it without much damage being caused. The main problem we have found is that the turning lock on it is absolute rubbish. What would take a normal vehicle a 3 point turn takes the L200 approx 3 times that which is not good in tight spaces! All in all its a decent motor which I do enjoy driving although it is very basic in its styling. Unlike most others on the market it is a true 4WD which is brilliant in snow. Ours is a 2004 model which is still going strong and has many years left in it. We also haven't had to make any costly repairs/maintenence which is always a bonus! Summary: A good looking 4WD which is great in snow/ice
